Preserve every volume, page, case, instrument, certificate, film, or image identifier supplied by an index. Ask whether the result is an index, transcript, record image, ordinary copy, or certified copy.

A negative search covers only the named collection and date range; it does not prove the event never occurred. Privacy and court-access restrictions still apply to searchable records.
